Felting
Felting has become very popular in recent years and it is a skill that people can learn without too much initial outlay. The felting group meet on the first and third Wednesdays of the month from 10.30am to 3.30pm and during these sessions members can learn wet and needle felting.
Items produced by the felting group are very popular items included at our Craft Sales and Exhibitions during the year. Beginners are welcome as are those with more experience and this is a great way to start of or improve your felting techniques. See programme below.

Felting Programme 2022
Our programme is a focus to gives us ideas and inspiration to work on, and is always flexible. Members provide their own equipment and wool, pool ideas and help one another to develop skills. The sessions are not “taught workshops”.
February - A portrait or silhouette, or any small picture (flower, landscape etc.)
March - something for Spring - rabbits, hares flowers
April - butterflies, bees, dragon flies, nature - needle felt embroidery or 3d figures
May - a landscape picture - needle and/or wet felt
June - seascape picture
July - wet felt a vessel
August - needle felt an animal over a wire armature
September - wet felt a bag
October - autumn wreath
November - Christmas stocking
December - robins
