Felting
Felting has become very popular in recent years and it is a skill that people can learn without too much initial outlay. The felting group meet on the first and third Wednesdays of the month from 10.30am to 3.30pm and during these sessions members can learn wet and needle felting.
Items produced by the felting group are very popular items included at our Craft Sales and Exhibitions during the year. Beginners are welcome as are those with more experience and this is a great way to start of or improve your felting techniques. See programme below.

Felting Programme 2023
Our programme is a focus to gives us ideas and inspiration to work on, and is always flexible. Members provide their own equipment and wool, pool ideas and help one another to develop skills. The sessions are not “taught workshops”.
January 18th: Winter scene picture
February 1st: Own choice of work - wet felt or needle felt, possibly on a “heart” theme or your own preference
February 15th: Continue work from last time, and/or other unfinished work
March 1st and 15th (both sessions): 3d sculpture of lamb or sheep using wire armature
April 5th: Nuno felting lead by Erica
April 19th: Embellishments and tips to incorporate in other work (make something to include in next month’s project)
May 3rd and 17th (both sessions): Bag or purse incorporating something we made or learned in April sessions
June 7th: Wildlife - flowers and or insects, 3d (needle felted) and /or incorporate with wet felt, such as adding flowers/insects to a picture or vessel
June 21st Finishing off project from last time
July 5th and 19th (both sessions) Wet felt some slippers
