Felting

Felting has become very popular in recent years and it is a skill that people can learn without too much initial outlay.  The felting group meet on the  first and third Wednesdays of the month from 10.30am to 3.30pm and during these sessions members can learn wet and needle felting.

Items produced by the felting group are very popular items included at our Craft Sales and Exhibitions during the year.  Beginners are welcome as are those with more experience and this is a great way to start of or improve your felting techniques.

Needle Felting for Easter

It would be nice to create something seasonal for Easter.  Lincoln Crafts who sell kits and supplies have some great free tutorials on their website and on YouTube.  This one for a hare uses a technique of wrapping the carded wool around a wooden bbq skewer to get the shapes uniform.

There are four parts to the hare tutorial which you will see when you view the first one.

Please share your pictures of your felt creations, its aways interesting and inspirational to see them!
