Berkshire Guild Competition
Judging
For the past few years the Berkshire Guild has invited us to judge their annual competition, and this year was no exception. It is wonderful to maintain this connection with a nearby guild and it was nice to welcome Sarah back once again. Sarah travels to Steeple Ashton with the entries and enjoys spending a day with us in and around the village. This year Susie Collyer, Lesley Greaves and Sue Vince judged thirteen entries. The theme for 2026 was Fibonacci or Butterflies which inspired a wide variety of creative interpretations.
Thank you to all of our judges for giving their time and we hope the Berkshire Guild were pleased with the results.
These and just a few of the entries.

Show and Tell
February 2026
It was wonderful to hear from members, their inspirations and creative journeys. The creations on display were truly amazing and the event provided a lovely opportunity for everyone to come together, share ideas and celebrate what we are all working towards. These are just a few images of the day

February Guild Day 2026
Achievement Cup
This year the Achievement Cup was presented by Tresta to Rosy Wilson . “Rosy’s achievements are remarkable – from mastering the overlocker, to dressmaking, Manx patchwork, shibori, kantha, bag making and fearless crazy patchwork.
Rosy completed a full block-a-week quilt, learning new skills at every turn and persevering through instructions that might be politely described as ‘creative!’ Her talent shines – but it’s her generosity and determination that truly set her apart.”
Well Done Rosy!
We all look forward to seeing more of your creations in the future.

January Guild Day 2026
A True Blue, Woad and Indigo
Teresinha Roberts
Today we were treated to a very informative and fascinating talk on indigo by Teresinha Roberts. She was a joy to listen to and it was wonderful to see such a good turnout, including several visitors.
If you'd like to find out more about Teresinha and her work with Wild Colours, do have a look at her websites, where you'll find lots of useful information and resources:

Christmas Fair 2025
Our set-up volunteers were completely taken aback by the sheer number of beautiful items made by our groups, all waiting to be checked in and carefully arranged. There was so much to display, yet somehow everything found its place and was ready in time for the doors to open the next morning.
It was lovely to see so many familiar faces alongside new visitors, all eagerly heading upstairs in search of that perfect gift or something to keep them cosy.
The fair was a great success, raising £300 for Guild funds. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed, helped out and made the event such a success.
