WGSWD Christmas Fair 

Friday 27th and Saturday 28th November 2026 

10.30am – 4pm

 

Last year’s Xmas Fair was very successful with members contributing a huge number of creations to sell to the public which was fantastic!   This year as usual you are invited to contribute items to sell at the 2026 Christmas Fair being held on the above date.  

 

We are happy to include a range of items for sale related to our Guild Groups but due to pressure on space, we would advise that items not part of Guild Group activities, are of course very welcome, but they may not be displayed until space is available.   If you are unsure what to include, please speak to either your group leader or a member of the committee.

 

• Items for the sale need to be dropped off to Studio 2 by Saturday 21st November.  

• A seller’s form is required to be completed and all items should be clearly labelled with a description, your code (from your sales form) and sales price of course.  (There is an example of how to complete the form included at the back of the form.) (Form attached)

• Please indicate clearly if you wish to donate all the proceeds of a sale to guild funds rather than just the required 10%. 

• Pease ensure you have your name on any packaging for return of unsold items.

• Can we also ask you to tie/bag identical items together to ease checking in of items.

 

10% of sales goes towards Guild funds.

In order that payment can be made as quickly as possible to you please complete the enclosed seller’s information form.   As this information is sensitive, please either e-mail directly to our Treasurer or put in a sealed envelope addressed to the Treasurer with your items.  This form will be shredded after use in accordance with our Data Protection Policy.

Please support this event by advertising far and wide. A poster is attached for you to print and put up in all the usual places. This will help greatly with getting people to come along.  There is also a social media post/jpeg for your use.

Dear Guild Members

 

Stewards

Please could you volunteer a few hours of your time to help steward our Christmas sale? The more volunteers we can get, the easier it will be for us all, so please don't be shy about offering to help.

 

I have broken the days down into morning and afternoon sessions of 10.15am - 1.15pm and 1.15pm - 4.15pm.

 

Please could you let me know which time(s) and day(s) you are available? If you could do a whole day, that would be fantastic, but if you can only manage a couple of hours, just let me know the times you can do. There are sign up lists in studios 1 and 3 for you to use if you wish, but if you can email me as well, that would be most useful.

 

Some of the stewards who volunteer for the Saturday afternoon slot usually stay on and help pack things away (which doesn't take long), but if any of you are able to help with the setting up on Thursday 26th (10.30am) then do please let me know.
